About Us
Wonderfully Made Psychological and Educational Services is a private practice founded by an educational psychologist Lauren Yax. The practice specializes in providing psycho-educational evaluations and parent consultations to help navigate the special education system.
We have a unique approach that involves working closely with parents and children to create a supportive environment for growth and development through a strengths-based perspective. We take a comprehensive view to understand who your child is and how their individual strengths and challenges impact their learning, so we can identify the best support to help them succeed. Every evaluation is delivered with compassion, warmth, and professional excellence.

Psycho-educational Evaluations
We conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess children for Learning Disabilities including Dyslexia, Attention/ADHD, Executive Functioning, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Giftedness, Depression, Anxiety, and other educationally relevant mental health concerns. Depending on your needs, We conduct comprehensive evaluations (cognitive abilities, processing, academic achievement, and social/emotional functioning), snapshot evaluations (cognitive abilities, processing, and academic achievement), gifted/IQ assessments (cognitive abilities only), or behavioral assessments (social/emotional functioning only).

Parent Consultation &
Education
We provide consultation services to assist families in navigating and understanding school systems and how to best address their child's needs, whether they require supports within schools or may benefit from support within the community. Our goal is to build your knowledge base and empower you to make informed decisions that will best allow your child to thrive and access their education through IEP/504 plan review and guidance as well as IEP/504 meeting preparation. We also provide psycho-education for parents seeking more information regarding their child's disability and how to best support their educational journey.
